On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, the Monroe County Board of Education approved Dr. Jim Finch as the next Monroe County Schools Superintendent. He will replace outgoing Superintendent Dr. Mike Hickman, who will retire at the end of the month.

Our summer hours begin Monday, June 5. Monroe County Schools will be open Monday - Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. We will be closed on Fridays.

The Board of Education will be meeting in Called Session on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. in the Boardroom at the Central Office. The purpose of the meeting will be a personnel discussion about the superintendent search.

Monroe County Schools will be closed Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day.
