Monroe County schools were on code grey from 2:25 to 2:45 pm due to severe weather. The tornado warning has expired and we are planning to release students using normal dismissal protocols.


Out of an abundance of caution due to the predicted weather for our Middle Georgia area this afternoon, ALL after school practices, programs, childcare, and games will be canceled. Power has been restored to both Katherine B. Sutton and Samuel E. Hubbard Elementary Schools. Power returned to K.B. Sutton around 9:25 a.m. and to Hubbard around 8:45 a.m.

K.B. Sutton Elementary continues to experience a partial power outage. Students are safe and school will continue as usual. Central Georgia EMC is still working to restore power to this campus.
