At approximately 1:30 p.m. as Monroe County Achievement Center students and staff returned from lunch, staff members witnessed an unknown male sitting in a red truck with the door open. The truck was parked in the grass on the MCAC campus. The male started acting strangely and was unable to speak coherently. School administration immediately contacted School Resource Officer Sammons. MCAC was placed on Code Yellow as a result. A second deputy arrived shortly after SRO Sammons arrived. The unknown male was handcuffed and placed in a patrol car. The school returned to Code Green status at 2:07 p.m.
