On Friday, September 9, 2022 officials at Mary Persons High School were alerted about a threat made on social media by an MPHS student. Monroe County Schools collaborated immediately with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office to investigate.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation and no evidence was found to substantiate any threat at this time. School administrators, staff, and students will continue to adhere to normal protocols for school safety the rest of the day.
