MCMS Families,
To improve safety and reduce traffic congestion during morning arrival, all vehicles must pull forward to the furthest available drop-off location before students exit. Three staff members will be stationed along the drop-off area to assist students and guide them safely to the main entrance.
Traffic Flow Procedures
Arrival Window
Staff report to assigned positions 15 minutes before student arrival (7:15 am).
Cones and signage are placed to identify the drop-off lane.
Vehicles enter the designated drop-off lane and proceed to the furthest available unloading zone.
Unloading Process
Vehicles pull forward to the furthest available spot.
Multiple vehicles unload simultaneously.
Staff assist students as needed.
Students walk directly to the school entrance under staff supervision.
Vehicles immediately exit the lane after unloading.
Safety Measures
Students should never walk between moving vehicles.
Staff maintains visual supervision of all unloading areas.
Crosswalks and sidewalks are used whenever available.
Radios are available to supervising staff.
This procedure will help:
Keep traffic moving efficiently.
Reduce backups on the highway.
Increase student safety.
Shorten wait times for families.

Morning Drop-Off Expectations
Parent Expectations
All vehicles must pull forward to the furthest available drop-off point before students exit.
Students should be prepared to exit immediately upon stopping.
Students must exit from any designated drop-off zone supervised by staff.
Drivers should follow all directions provided by school personnel as they guide them forward.
Vehicles should continue moving forward as space becomes available.
Any parents who need to enter the building should park in the staff parking lot in front of the school.
Student Expectations
Have all belongings ready before arrival.
Exit the vehicle quickly and safely when directed by staff.
Walk directly to the designated school entrance.
Follow staff directions at all times.
Use sidewalks and designated walking paths only.
