As our community continues to grow, Monroe County Schools is updating our student transportation guidelines to improve both safety and efficiency.
Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year:
Buses will no longer travel on streets less than 0.4 miles long, unless there is a verifiable safety concern.
Bus stops will be spaced no closer than 0.1 miles apart where possible.
In many neighborhoods, community bus stops will be used instead of individual house stops.
These changes help reduce excessive stops and allow us to serve more students safely and on time.
