Are you interested in volunteering in Monroe County Schools? Follow these steps to receive your volunteer badge for the 2023-2024 school year.
- All volunteers must complete our online volunteer training every year. Visit this link to get started.
- If needed, visit the Monroe County Sheriff's Office for an updated background check. You can obtain your background check Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. You must bring two forms of identification and $20 cash. Background checks are good for two years.
- Once approved, you will receive a volunteer badge from your designated school.
Remember, this process can take several weeks. Monroe County Schools cannot process your request until it receives the background check results from the MCSO. Do not wait until the last minute to submit your request.
