Because the rain has already started, and the radar indicates that it will not stop anytime soon, Field Day plans must be amended. 1st grade will have Field Day inside this morning, and we will do our very best to reschedule Kindergarten for a date TBD. Again, parents will not be able to attend due to space constraints, and we sincerely apologize. Thank you for understanding. We will continue to monitor the forecast for tomorrow and keep 2nd and 3rd grade parents updated.
All current 5th grade parents, please remember that Transition Night will be at MCMS tomorrow night - Monday, May 13, beginning at 5:30. The event will provide a wealth of information and will last for approximately one hour. Please park in the back - hope to see you all there.
Due to the foreboding weather forecast for tomorrow, we are making rain contingency plans which involve moving all activities into the gym. At this time, we hope and fully intend to hold Field Day outside, but in the event of rain, one grade will have inside Field Day in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Unfortunately, due to space constraints, there will not be room for parents to attend as previously outlined. We sincerely apologize as we know this is disappointing for everyone. Please be assured that we will do everything we can to make the day fun and memorable for all the children while keeping safety our top priority. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding. While this week has been our Spring Break, it has also been National Assistant Principals Week, a celebration of the unsung heroes in our education system. These dedicated folks work tirelessly to bolster teachers, motivate students, support their principal, create a positive learning community, and face the many unpredictable challenges that land on their desk.

Due to a dismal weather forecast for tomorrow night, the principals' plan to spend the night on the roof must be postponed. Due to other conflicts, this will be rescheduled after we return from Spring Break. The good news is that we have longer to anticipate the fun of rewards!
Attention, 5th grade TGS parents: The 6th-grade ALPHA Application form is live as of today, Monday, March 25, 2024. This is the first step students MUST complete in requesting ALPHA courses for the next school year as they transition to middle school. Applications will be accepted until May 3, and notification letters will be sent out on June 14. An email with the link to this application has been sent to all current 5th grade parents.
