As defined by the State Board of Education, “Professional learning is the means by which teachers, administrators and other school and system employees acquire, enhance and refine the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to create and support high levels of learning for all students.”

In Monroe County Schools, we believe that student achievement can be maximized by having well trained teachers, administrators and support staff in place throughout the school system. Because we want all personnel to be challenged to expand their repertoire of instructional, leadership and organizational strategies, professional learning activities are open to all certified staff, classified staff, and school board members.
