    • 6th graders are considered eligible for fall and the beginning of winter sports.

    • This means students in 7th grade must have passed 5 out of 6 classes for SEMESTER 2 of 6TH GRADE

    • This means students in 8th grade must have passed 5 out of 6 classes for SEMESTER 2 of 7TH GRADE

  • Semester average can be calculated by averaging 3rd nine weeks’ grade and 4th nine weeks’ grade for all 6 classes.

    • Ex:  Student 1 made a 75 in ELA for the 3rd nine weeks and a 60 in ELA for the 4th nine weeks.  Student 1 would have a SEMESTER AVERAGE of 68.

      • 75   +   60  =  135  /  2   = 67.5% or 68%

    • Student 1 would have to have a 70% average for semester 2 in the remaining 5 classes to be eligible.

Winter Sports (Split Season)

    • EX: Student 2 passed 5 out of 6 classes the SPRING before play and made the wrestling team.  At the end of Semester 1, Student 2 failed 2 classes for the current school year.  Student 2 BECOMES INELIGIBLE and CANNOT continue participating in wrestling.

Spring Sports

  • Student’s grade eligibility will be determined by SEMESTER 1 Averages of the CURRENT school year.

    • Semester 1 average can be calculated by averaging 1st nine weeks’ grade and 2nd nine weeks’ grade for all 6 classes

    • Students must pass 5 out of 6 classes with a 70% or higher to participate in Spring Sports.
