Middle School Athletics will follow all guidelines as set forth in the Monroe County Athletics Handbook with the following exceptions:
Middle school athletes must pass 5 of 6 classes (>70%) the SEMESTER before play (See Eligibility Section for details)
A player is eligible if they have attained his/her 15th birthday after
April 1 prior to the year of eligibility
Student athletes must have a current physical on file prior to tryouts (physicals are valid for one year from the date of physical)

Middle School Eligibility
First-year students (entering 6th grade) are eligible academically. Second semester
First-year students must have passed 5 out of 6 courses from 1st semester.
Second-year students (entering 7th grade) to be eligible for the 1st semester of their 7th-grade year must have passed 5 out of 6 courses from the 2nd semester of the previous year. (as a 6th grader). Second-year students must have passed 5 out of 6 courses from the 1st semester to be eligible for a spring sport.
Third-year students (entering 8th grade) in order to be eligible for the 1st semester of their 8th-grade year must have passed 5 out of 6 courses from the 2nd semester of the previous year. (as a 7th grader). Third-year students must have passed 5 out of 6 courses from the 1st semester to be eligible for a spring sport.
NOTE: 6th-grade students are not eligible to participate in Junior varsity athletics nor Varsity athletics.
